Military Care Package Event

UPCOMING MILITARY CARE PACKAGE EVENT DATES

Friday November 8th, 2024, 9:00am-12:00pm

Join us on Friday, November 8th for our Military Care Package Event at Apple Chevrolet. Together, we’ll package boxes for our troops, enjoy a complimentary lunch, and show our gratitude for their service. You can get involved by helping us prep boxes, donating postage, or volunteering your time to assist in packaging. Let’s come together and make a difference! We greatly appreciate all check and cash donations for our Military Care Package Event, as postage can be quite expensive. If you'd like to contribute by writing a check, please make it out to the Village of Orland Park with "Veterans Commission Postage" in the memo line. Your support means a lot and we hope to see you there. Thank you!

DONATION INFORMATION

*Please no pork items, alcohol, VHS tapes, aerosol products, glass or pyrex containers.

FOOD ITEMS: beef jerky/ beef sticks, canned chicken, canned fruit, cheese spreads, chex mix, chips/doritos, coffee creamer, cookies, crackers, dried fruit, energy bars, fruit pies , granola bars, coffee, gum, hard candy, instant noodles/oatmeal/soups, kool-aid/crystal light/drink mixes, little debbie snack cakes, mac n cheese, microwave dinners, microwave popcorn, nuts, peanut butter, jelly, protein bars, pudding cups, salsa/chips, sardines, summer sausage and tuna (pouches).

HYGIENE AND PERSONAL CARE: advil/tylenol, air fresheners, antibacterial wipes, antibiotic cream, baby oil/baby powder, bandannas, bath/hand wash, body wash/soap, chapstick, conditioner (travel size), deodorant, eyeglasses kits, fabric softener sheets, feminine hygiene products, foot inserts for boots, foot powder, hand/foot warmers, hand sanitizers, hand/body lotion, imodium, insect repellent/deet, laundry detergent (small), underwear, mini handheld fans/misters, mirrors, mouthwash (travel size), nasal spray, pepto bismol, first aid kits (small), q-tips, razors, sewing kits, shampoo (travel size), shaving cream (tubes) and sinus medication.
