2023 Chevy Colorado

At Apple Chevrolet, we are always excited to share what we know about upcoming models of Chevy sedans, SUVs, crossovers, and trucks like the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado. It’s been a while since Chevrolet introduced any major changes to Colorado. In fact, it’s been seven years. We think folks will be quite pleased with the new changes coming to the third generation of the 2023 Colorado. Trim levels this time around include the Work Truck, LT, Z71, ZR2, and Trail Boss. Three of those are off-road models with the Trail Boss being the first of its type offered with this rugged pickup.

2023 Chevrolet Colorado

Each model of the new Colorado receives its power from a turbocharged 2.7-liter inline-four engine with 8-speed automatic transmission. The Work Truck and LT levels deliver 237 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque while the Z71 and Trail Boss engine makes 301 horsepower and 390 lb-ft. Upgrade to the high output ZR2 model for 310 horsepower and 430 ft-lbs of torque. As for towing power, this mid-size truck is no slouch with a maximum towing capacity of 7700 for the Colorado ZR2.

There are five selectable drive modes available in the Colorado for 2023. These modes are accessed from a knob set in the center console and include:

• Normal: for real-world driving conditions
• Tow/Haul: for trailering and hauling
• Off-Road: for general off-roading
• Terrain: frock crawling
• Baja: for turning your truck into a desert boss

Interior and tech

The new 2023 models feature an all-new design that includes both exterior and interior styling. In all, there are four interior trim choices on offer. Each model is a 4-door crew cab with a new center console and gauge cluster. The infotainment screen and steering wheel also benefit from a design update. There’s also a sunroof option available which is the first time this has been offered on the Colorado. A nice, big 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen is standard and it’s the biggest you’ll find anywhere. Plus there’s wireless phone-charging capability as well as USB ports and wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay are standard.

The driver-assistance features available on this model include the Safety Assist package which includes the following:

• Standard forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking
• Standard lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist
